The Royal Piet Stautkring has organised this art competition in cooperation with the municipality of Beveren since 2001. From 2011 the choice was made to alternate the biennial prize for painting and small sculpture. In 2024 we are at the 12th edition and the sculptors are back. A competent independent jury selects the laureates and also puts together an exhibition of the most valuable entries.

All artists working in this discipline are therefore urged to participate in edition 2024 of the Piet Staut Prize for Small Sculpture.

The first prize amounts to €4,000. There is also the Arte Falco Prize in the amount of €500. The KPSK Prize of €300 is awarded to the best-ranked member of the KPSK. Furthermore, five honourable mentions and a public prize will be awarded and a selection from the works (including non-award winners) will be exhibited at Cortewalle Castle, Beveren-Waas from 28-29 September to 5-6 October 2024.

The competition's award ceremony is scheduled for Saturday 28 September, also opening day of the exhibition. Moreover, the laureates will be offered an exhibition in the same castle the following year. These are great opportunities offered by KPSK to all those who have reached a certain level in sculpture.
