A is the connection you make as a parent/guardian to your child by pronouncing the letter A when you bring the spoon with food to your child's mouth. One of the first conscious experiences of attempting to imitate a letter, which also happens to be the first letter of the alphabet. 'A' is verbally opening your mouth. 
For me, 'A' starts with a parent taking care of their child.
