'All these hands I have for you but will someone please hold mine.' (Hear their/your/my heart)
Part of the series 'All these hands I have for you but will someone please hold mine.'
This series explores the psychological needs that need to be met for an indivual to feel ´at home.´
The need for social connection, love, acceptance, the need to be seen, heard and embraced as an authentic individual is the starting point for these tactile sculptures.
The work adresses the compelling expectations of sovmciety to give everything of oneself so that others can feel comfortable, experience security.
While one continues to hope in vain, waiting for hands to guaranteea safe haven, to extend a healing hand.
The works seek to fulfill a need that may have remained unanswered in the (audience's) seaech for a place to call home.
The works are interactive, the audience can enmbrace and comfort themselves, so they too can come home.
