Today we go to Valencia again. This time we rented bikes to cycle along Turia, a dry river bed. Back in 1957 there was a serious flood of this river with lots of casualties. The Spanish government decided that the river was no longer allowed to flow through the city of Valencia and so the river was diverted and dried up. It now is a green oasis for relaxing, walking and sports.
